I was born and raised in China for the first 17 years of my life, then moved to Michigan for college. After graduating, I explored my creative side as a video content creator - my videos averaged 20k views, with one reaching nearly 900k in just 3 months. It was a fun chapter, but I realized I wanted something deeper: not just sharing information, but designing solutions that solve real problems. That curiosity led me to UI/UX design.

I became obsessed with the details - pixels, flows, the tiny things that make or break an experience. But at some point, I realized it was time to knock on the door of product thinking and put my work on a larger scale. I was desperate to figure out why things were designed a certain way, and without seeing the big picture, I could never answer that. Product thinking not only gives me that perspective, it also challenges me to apply strategic thinking and lean on data to make decisions with confidence.

Consulting gave me the perfect playground for that shift. I got to step into roles beyond design - sometimes a Business Analyst, sometimes a Product Manager. Those moments sharpened me.

Today, I see design as more than making things beautiful - it’s about clarity, trade offs, and connecting the dots between people, technology, and business. That balance between detail and big picture is what drives me as a designer and leader.
